small town. big heat.

I was raised on a farm in the middle of nowhere (and I say that lovingly), but these days I live in the ‘big city’. You can take the girl out of the country, but you can’t take the country out of the girl. My hometown taught me to love stories—because stories are what knit a small town together. The losses and failures. The triumphs. And the occasional tale involving a pickup truck, a possum, or both. Rough around the edges, yes. But that’s what makes the stories worth telling–and the love worth fighting for.
